What Happens When You Arrive
Follow these 3 easy steps on arrival day at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal for smooth embarking.
1st Floor Luggage Drop-Off
As soon as you arrive at the Long Beach passenger drop-off lane on the ground level, port porters will greet you to collect your checked luggage.
Porters will staple your printed paper luggage tags onto your bags before taking them to the ship.
⚠️ Make sure your luggage tags are printed beforehand!
Security Screening
Enter the famous Geodesic Dome terminal building to proceed through the security checkpoint.
- Pass carry-on bags through X-ray machines inside the dome.
- Walk through metal detectors with your family group.
- Have your Government ID / Passport accessible.
Check-In & Boarding
Proceed directly to the agent counter or express check-in area inside the terminal dome based on your boarding group.

Long Beach Cruise Terminal (231 Windsor Way, next to Queen Mary)
Driving Routes
Take I-405 South → Merge onto I-710 South toward Long Beach → Follow signs for Queen Mary / Cruise Terminal → Turn right onto Windsor Way.
Take I-405 South to I-710 South → Follow I-710 to the end toward Queen Mary → Follow signs to the Carnival Cruise Terminal.
Take I-405 North → Exit onto CA-22 West / I-710 South towards Long Beach → Follow signs for Queen Mary / Cruise Terminal.
Terminal Parking Details
Long Beach Terminal Parking Structure
Multi-level covered parking garage located right next to the terminal dome. Oversized vehicles use adjacent open-air lot.
Credit and debit cards are accepted upon exit. No advance parking reservations are required.
Essential Pro-Tips for Long Beach Embarkation
Do not rely solely on your mobile phone for boarding passes or luggage tags. Mobile signal near the dome can slow down. Always print them out!
It is standard practice to tip porters $2 to $5 per bag for handling and stapling tags to your luggage at drop-off. Keep small cash bills handy.
Checked bags may take a few hours to reach your stateroom. Keep medications, passports, swimwear, and electronics in your carry-on bag.
